   When compared to last Monday's sale, Slaughter steers traded mostly
steady to 1.00 higher on a light test of Choice steers. High dressing
Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are
extremely lean. Today those steers traded mostly steady compared to last
week. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 1.00 lower compared to last
week. Demand was moderate. Slaughter Bulls sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower.
Cattle supplies included 184 slaughter steers; 104 heifers; 334 cows;
86 bulls and 96 feeder cattle. All prices quoted per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: Choice 1-2  1350-1600 lbs 150.00-152.50. Select 1-3
1250-1550 lbs 144.00-149.50. High dressing Lean Steers 151.00-170.00.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold steady to 20.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Holstein heifer
calves sold 10.00-20.00 higher on a light test. Demand was good. All prices
per cwt.     

Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  100-115 lbs 575.00-600.00; 85-95 lbs 600.00-
650.00; 70-85 60.00-625.00. Number 2  100-120 lbs 550.00-585.00; 80-95 lbs
