   When compared to last Monday's sale, Slaughter steers traded mostly
4.00-5.00 lower. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to
the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Today those steers traded
mostly 2.00-3.00 lower compared to last week. Slaughter cows sold mostly
3.00-4.00 higher compared to last week. Demand was good. Slaughter Bulls
sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower. Cattle supplies included 174 slaughter steers; 
76 heifers; 317 cows; 124 bulls and 144 feeder cattle. All prices quoted 
per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: Choice 1-2 1300-1600 lbs 154.00-159.00. Select 1-3
1250-1600 lbs 146.00-151.00. High dressing Lean Steers 160.00-174.50.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull calves 
sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold firm on a light 
test. Demand was good. All prices per cwt.     

Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  100-105 lbs 560.00-585.00; 70-90 lbs
585.00-635.00. Number 2  100-115 lbs 525.00-550.00; 65-95 lbs 550.00-
585.00. Number 3  120-130 lbs 450.00-475.00; 100-115 lbs 475.00-510.00; 
75-95 lbs 500.00-535.00. Utility 65-120 lbs 375.00-450.00.

Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1  85-105 lbs 410.00-435.00. Number 2
70-110 lbs 350.00-400.00. Utility/Non-tubing 65-110 lbs 150.00-200.00.
